How to Install and Use the Wheel Chock Tie Down Kit for UTVs and ATVsUpdated 2 months ago

The Wheel Chock Tie Down Kit includes everything you need to safely secure your UTV or ATV to a trailer. With heavy-duty straps, sturdy chocks, and all necessary hardware, you can transport your vehicle with confidence. This guide walks you through the installation process and shows you how to tie down your ride for safe travel.

What’s Included

  • 4 Over-the-Tire Style Straps – Designed to secure over each tire for maximum stability.

  • 8 Wheel Chocks – Keeps tires in place and prevents forward or backward movement.

  • Mounting Hardware – All bolts and washers needed for installation.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Position your UTV/ATV
Park your side-by-side or ATV in the desired position on your trailer. Make sure it’s centered and in the spot you want it for transport.

2. Mark and drill holes
Using the chocks as a guide, mark where they need to be installed around each tire. Drill holes in the trailer bed with a ¼-inch drill bit.

3. Bolt down the chocks
Secure each chock to the trailer bed using the included mounting hardware. Tighten bolts until the chocks are firmly in place.

4. Strap down your vehicle
Place the over-the-tire straps over each tire and connect them to the chocks using the quick-connect E-Track ends. Ratchet until each strap is snug and your vehicle is secure.

5. Double-check and go
Verify that all straps are tight, chocks are solid, and your vehicle cannot shift. Once everything is secure, you’re ready to hit the road.

Best Practices

  • Install chocks so they fit tightly against the tires to minimize movement.

  • Tighten straps evenly to avoid pulling the vehicle to one side.

  • Inspect straps for wear before each use.
